WHO IS ELIGIBLE:
Owners or lessees of passenger motor vehicles who are residents of the state of Tennessee and who meet one of the following requirements: is an active, retired, or honorably discharged member of a United States Army Ranger Unit, or who is a graduate of the United States Army Ranger school.
NOTES:
- Military orders detailing a current or past assignment to a United States Army Ranger Unit, Military orders awarding the ranger tab authorized by the United States army to the applicant, The applicants certificate of release form 214 (DD 214), or report of separation and record of service, NGB form 22, indicating the awarding of the ranger tab; or the diploma issued to the applicant from the United States army ranger school must be provided as proof of eligibility for the Army Ranger plate.
- In addition to providing the documentation above active military will need to present an active military ID card.
- Retired or honorably discharged members must present: a certified copy of the member's certificate of release or discharge from active duty, department of defense form 214 (DD 214), honorable discharge certificate, department of defense form 256 (DD 256), or report of separation and record of service, NGB form 22, a valid DD form 2 (Retired) military identification card; or a Tennessee driver's license that indicate military service.
