"Hearing Impaired Decals" are issued by Vehicle Services upon application accompanied by a physician’s statement indicating the driver of a vehicle is hearing impaired.
- The decal shall be placed in the upper corner on the driver’s side of the front windshield.
- One (1) decal or placard shall be provided free to a hearing impaired individual. The price for a replacement decal is five dollars ($5.00). The price for a second decal is also five dollars ($5.00).
- When a recipient driver transfers the automobile, the decal shall be removed, and
a new decal shall be issued by the department, without cost to the individual, upon
the individual’s presenting the department with the used decal.
- When the recipient of a decal dies, any decals shall be deemed invalid.
