Electric Vehicle Registration Fee: Important notice added, Public Chapter 159 increases the registration fee for all-electric vehicles and creates a registration fee for hybrid and plug-in hybrid vehicles. These fees only apply when a vehicle registration is renewed. This is effective January 1, 2024. The biggest change is the electric fee is no longer collected at initial registration.
